T-BONE LAUNCHES HIS FIRST EVER MUSIC LABEL, PLANB SOUND RECORDS

• T-Bone plays a different ballgame with new music label and singles to be released intermittently this year

• He is also one of the artistes featured in the music label, where he exudes his new sense of sound which is set to capture the attention of today’s music enthusiasts

KUALA LUMPUR, JULY 27, 2018: Founder of PlanB Sound Records, T-Bone, signed up with Warner Music Malaysia to release his first track Pretend which launches today. Featured as one of the artistes in the label, T-Bone is stoked to emerge again after his last famed stint as music producer and turntablist with Malaysian hip hop duo, Too Phat. T-Bone played an instrumental role in their award winning releases with his deft hand in putting together sounds and beats that met the current trend of music at that time.

Today, T-Bone is on a different playing field as he launches his new music label.  “PlanB Sound Records is a product of decades in the deejay-ing scene where I was exposed to tunes from the early 70s to current hits and now pop experimental sounds,” says T-Bone. “I needed to put into reality what was in my head and I thought what better way to do that than to start my own music label and feature these sounds there.”

T-Bone commenced on his desire to start his own music label by composing a few songs. As he embarked on this journey, putting together each single, T-Bone was inspired and continued to produce more instrumentals. He stresses that PlanB Sound Records is not just a music label that features music of a certain genre. The label boasts of breaking boundaries between genres and focusing predominantly on making good music. “We believe trends are fleeting and so we want to just make great timeless music that will appeal to anyone at any era. We want to revolutionize the idea of music and sounds of today,” explains T-Bone.

Darren Choy, Managing Director of Warner Music Malaysia believes PlanB Sound Records has great potential. “T-Bone has always had the perfect combination of energy, taste and commitment to make his music work. The singles have a great eclectic feel to it and it will certainly hit the spot with those who enjoy beats and sounds that pack a punch.”

The music label will be releasing four singles intermittently mid this year. It will feature songs and instrumentals that are diverse complemented by videos that are of international standards. Emphasizing on substance, T-Bone is determined to be consistent with the quality of music that the label produces and offers a promise of excellent tracks. “There is a story behind each project and I am determined to tell these stories through both music and videos. Expect variety of sounds and creative video directions as this music label is not confined by genre. The idea is also to gain an international appeal as well and we are determined to become an icon in the music industry not just locally but the world over,” T-Bone highlights.
