Ushering the Chinese New Year festival and in line with the Spring/Summer 2018 season, Lewré Bespoke has recently launched its latest collection, the Regal Pilgrimage. The unveiling of the collection was held at Nicsmann 1940s by Lewré this week. The fine collection is inspired by the beautiful and majestic Himalayan region, showcased elements of culture and arts of the Tibetan.

The Tibetan, roams the highest region on Earth, are steeped in tradition and immense culture. Tibet is beautiful yet spiritual at the same time. And it is amazing to see how Lewré captured these elements to embody its latest collection.

We were privileged to view the collection on the day itself. My oh my! They were exquisite and elegant! For your Chinese New Year’s look, the Regal Collection offers you something fresh and creative. It is handmade and built with premium material, rendering inspiring designs like the Shiwa platform which is after the Tibetan hand-woven rugs.

My favourite is the Rinbung, fashioned after the lotus flower. The dark red shoe is designed as a mule with sparkly ornaments as the centre piece. Sagya, a yellow sling back pumps uses a fine yellow satin fabric. The attraction is the embellished buckle. Chanang, inspired by the Himalayan crystal sea salt, the chunky glitter fabric and the goat suede leather is an understated elegance.

If you are familiar with Lewré’s designs, you can’t miss the floral elements in this collection. It adorns heels in the Bainang and Namling designs and the Choejor in the forms of applique and floral printed fabric. The Bainang for example, is inspired by Blooming Rhododendrons in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan.

There are architectural inspirations unique to Tibet and the Himalayan region, transposed to this collection as well. For example, Kalsang, a peep toe heels are designed after the Jali lattice window carving in India and Lhozhag; a wedge shoe is inspired by the details of a Bhutan’s temple. Palden, a platform stiletto drew its inspiration from the Monkey Temple in Kathmandu.

Donning red as the colour of prosperity and longevity is a must for Chinese New Year, thus some of the heels in the collection have red options to reflect the auspicious colour.

The Regal Pilgrimage collection, captures the essence of the Tibetan beautifully. The inspiration shared by Lewré in this collection is indeed an appreciation of beauty, arts and culture. The result is this gorgeous shoes to all of us.

Congratulations again to Lewré!
